Counseling Letter to Parents
All students growing up in today's world face the normal challenges of coping with everyday issues and problems.  Society imposes on them changes that force them to question their own values, expectations and behavioral standards.  Some also bear the added burdens of abuse, neglect, failure, disabilities, divorce and many other traumatic situations as well.  Today, self-direction, personal integrity and a sense of self-worth are vital to their futures.  Students need the guidance of supportive adults whose role it is to impart and to reinforce those same values, to lift them up when they are in distress, and to guide them in an appropriate direction.

Catapult Learning, through its school counselors, is actively committed to helping students over come the emotional, social, physical and economic barriers that inhibit learning and to promoting the academic success of all students, so as to insure a sense of self worth and to help them understand that the choices they make now ill affect their future career and educational options. in addition to the overall quality of their lives.

Catapult does this by delivering a school counseling program that is comprehensive in scope and development in nature.  It promotes its counselors and programs in such a manner that the students and their families can easily identify the expertise of the school counselor as their school based advocates.  Through the guidance and counseling program the counselors also impart specific skills and learn opportunities through academic, career, personal, and social development and counseling, both preventively and in response to crisis.

Lastly, Catapult believes that communication with the school as well as with parents and guardians is essential to delivering a quality program for the students.  As such, we encourage ongoing contact with school and the counselor to insure that the students will benefit from the wisdom and the depth of the school counseling services.
