Penmanship

As the children get older they will be spending many hours a day in the classroom doing handwriting. Good writing starts with good mechanics.

Students should be encouraged to hold their pencil with the tripod grasp. The thumb and index finger hold the pencil and the shaft of the pencil rests on the middle finger.
